Van den Borne Adopts Elephant Yambo and Contributes to Stichting Wildlife

03/05/23

At Van den Borne, sustainability in our (work) environment is a top priority. Our headquarters was built with climate-friendly methods, our new facility is being developed as sustainably as possible, and we continue to take steps to reduce paper usage.

Another key focus of our sustainability strategy is water. Water is the main component of all the products we provide, which is why we at Van den Borne are committed to sustainable water management.

Yambo the Elephant

As a symbol of this sustainability effort, we have adopted the African savanna elephant "Yambo" through Stichting Wildlife. No other animal embodies the spirit of our company and products as the elephant does, with "strength" and "water" as its shared core attributes.

Through the adoption of Yambo, we support Stichting Wildlife, which is dedicated to the conservation of endangered animal and plant species both locally and globally.

Yambo at Safaripark Beekse Bergen

Yambo arrived at Safaripark Beekse Bergen about two years ago. This African savanna elephant is a 19-year-old bull and is easy to recognize among the other elephants—he has only one tusk.
